International container leasing is a global business providing stable, high-yielding long term returns for investors. The investment strategy is: buying containers at the right time, location and price; placing them on long-term leases (initial lease is targeted at 8 years with the current optimal investment horizon being 14 years), and selling the assets at the end of their lease life into the large secondary container market.
Our investment strategy emphasizes “third pillar” assets, that being assets that are our out-of-mainstream, price-sensitive markets, that provide attractive consistent returns with true diversification. Sun Intermodal has a 30-year -pioneered industry-leading disciplined approach to obtaining container leases, buying the asset and disposing of, when appropriate.
Sun Intermodal has industry leading expertise in the procurement and supply of containers to shipping lines under term leases. Sun’s expertise in production and build quality ensures that shipping lines are supplied containers
of a high standard to provide operational efficiency over the life of the container. Working with major investors Sun can supply large shipping line requirements at competitive lease rates.
